Pye PF1

Here we have a genuine set of the first ever Police personal radios issued in the U.K.

The U.H.F. Pye PF1 was a two set unit consisting of a Transmitter and a separate Receiver.

Burndept BE533 VHF radio, as used by most, if not all Police Authority in the U.K. .

These sets were mainly used on motorbikes, but were also known to be used in older cars like the Ford Granada and Capri. The main head unit is connected by a multicore cable to the repeater control unit, this is normally stored in the pannier or attached to a back board in the boot of the car. These are now very rear units to come by and we have only 2 of these.

The units come working BUT DO NOT HAVE ANY POLICE FREQUENCYS PROGRAMMED IN THEM.

It has all functions of the MTS series radios, PTT button plus 2 more programmable buttons at the side, emergency activation button on the top near the antenna (orange) it can be used for trunking systems, a scanner with trunk tracking, and conventional repeater and non repeater systems. It also has the multiple character top display LCD, which can be programmed to display right side up or upside down and also to show you what channel you're scanning on. It has a nuisance button to temporarily lock out a channel from being scanned. included is the battery and the belt clip
